Because of logistics or ?

You always end up with a few in the group who are a pain. I want to dine at, visit sites/activities places I will enjoy, not compromise “for the group.”

Then you may not be a good fit for a girls' trip. It is as much, if not more, about hanging out with your friends than only doing what you enjoy.

That is my point, I can just hang out with my friends anytime. Why do I need to go on a trip to hangout as a group?

If I am going a trip, why would I do a bunch of stuff I am not interested in?

So your ideal group size is one. Maybe you should have skipped this thread?

+1. I did several trips with groups of this size. Usually there is some splitting out during the day and reconnecting in the evening. I think with a group smaller than 4, everyone will always be together, and that's too much for me.

I think 4 is the perfect number. No odd "tag along" numbers. And with 4 you can still book a larger Uber and all ride together.

Plus, the more people you add in, the more personalities there is to deal with.

Worst trip I've ever been on was a girl's trip with 10 women. So much pettiness and little cat fights.

I've been on some successful 3, 5, and 6 person trips, but I always seem to have the best time when there are 4 people total.

I’m doing a girls trip with 9 of us in May and another in July with 6 of us. I think I prefer the 6 because it’s small enough to be intimate but not too small so the dynamic can be more energized and fun when need be.

I agree with PP's that say 6-8. 4 can be easier logistically but there's more pressure to have everyone do the same thing. With 6-8 you can have 2-3 people do their own thing. Things get alot harder and more expensive beyond 8. Finding vacation rentals, transportation, even restaurants will start requiring a fixed menu.

4. Everyone fits in the car and at the table. More than that and there's too many opinions, to many conversations at once, complicated logistics.

+1. 6-8 is fine if people don't mind breaking off and doing things separately in small groups.

I’ve traveled in a group of 5. Lots of fun without being too large of a group.

I am also an introvert and prefer groups of 4-6. That way it is less likely I'll be responsible for having to hold up too much of a conversation. Groups of 2 or 3 I feel more responsible to be "on".
