I REALLY dislike this one. Sounds so blue collar Jersey Italian-American. Maybe because I know so many of those that have named their kids this. (Including Snooki of trash TV fame, I think. Or maybe that's her DH. Can't remember)

My grandfather was Florentine and my dad and his siblings all have Italian names, including my uncle Gianni (generally goes by Gian, American pronunciation). It’s elegant and strong IMO (I realize I am biased).
