Also, you can cook your rice in a microwave. Don't believe the hype that you must have a rice cooker. Take a cup of rice, cover it with the recommended water and cook for 20 minutes in a microwave. If it's too dry, add more water. I know...blasphemy to those who swear by rice cookers but it's the only way I make rice.
