No, she didn't get off any waitlists (all very selective schools). Luckily she had a good option in hand, and she didn't let the uncertainty of the waitlists get in the way of her committing to that school psychologically. It originally wasn't her first choice, but over the course of the summer she got more attached to it (especially through getting to know other incoming students online) and went happily in the fall.
