Yes. The official reason is overcrowding, but I know a fair number of East county parents who really wanted their kids to continue in the Spanish but are not enthusiastic about the long bus ride to Westland so are planning to just return to their home schools.

BTW - if your homeschool is SSIMS and you're in immersion at RCF you can request to go to SSIMS immersion. Speak to your immersion coordinator.

I don't think that's true, but yes you should confirm

Page parent here, and I agree... Definitely NOT a win

Yeah, a friend's kid in in the Page program and is very unhappy.

Because it'll be a brand-new program there?

Um....no.

They seem generally comparable

As far as I’m aware, there is no long bus ride from east county to Westland anyways: RCF immersion students continuing to Westland have to provide their own transportation unless you’re already inbound for Westland, of course.

Burnt Mills parent here and agree in terms of the shift to White Oak. Fortunately SSIMS is inbounds for us based on our home so my kids can still go to SSIMS for immersion though most of their friends will go to White Oak. White Oak is not a win.
