Not just for Bullis but since we’re here … the above list, without context, would lead the uninitiated to think that Bullis is some sort of academic powerhouse and preparation for the world’s best academic institutions. When in fact is an average high school with several well-oiled sports pipelines.
Same phenomenon happens at our big 3 — but the difference is that at our school there are additional buckets of Ivy-bound kids who aren’t athletic recruits or even legacies
What’s your vendetta against Bullis? Why don’t you provide proof for your claim that all the Bullis Ivy admits are athletic recruits?

That lst for Bullis is very impressive. My kid went to Holton + then HYP. But, she was accepted to Bullis + we found the people to be quite nice. For posters trying to explain this list away with - "oh it's athletic recruits, URMs, legacies"-- I have a newsflash for you-- that is largely the case at your beloved " big3" or whatever. Colleges, including the Ivies do not just want the top grades/test scores, ECs-- they want more than that .
OP for you, since you have 3 kids - St. Johns should be fine. Bullis times three is big bucks.

There were FOUR Ivy admits last year at Bullis who were not sports recruits. It's all public info on Bullis' web site (college admissions and athletic signings are both posted).
I'm glad you son/daughter is in this narrow number but your original posts claimed there were ""MANY kids who have already placed in Ivies who are absolutely not-athletes".
You have to admit that you are exaggerating.
Compare that to other schools in this area. Show us that the non-recruit admits are much more frequent. If you can’t do that, then just take a seat.

Very impressive list. Puts the lie to all those claiming Bullis is bad academically.
We went to the admitted families night as well. We were extremely impressed. The arts program is excellent, the teachers were terrific, the facilities are very impressive. The whole thing is nothing like what this forum presents the school as.

My DC is considering Bullis and a few other DC privates, not SJC though. We attended the Bullis event last night and, honestly, it was incredibly impressive. My DC applied to Bullis as a backup, but DC is now seriously considering attending for 9th grade.
