Subject: 24 hour layover in London (Heathrow) 5pm--5pm. where to sleep, what to see?
If you want an alternative (although I probably wouldn’t choose it if you have never been to London), Windsor Castle is very close to Heathrow by cab or bus and the town/area is pretty cute.

Also, if you book 90+ days in advance, the express train is very reasonable - 5.50 pounds/adult each way, kids under 15 are free
