my go-to lunch sandwich now is ham, provolone, yellow mustard and fig jam. The mustard and fig jam together give it a perfect balance of sweet and tangy.

It is absolutely fantastic on a sandwich. And then this week I bought a different brand's "onion jam," which lack the chunks of onion in boar's head, but similar concept and flavor. It is also fantastic. If your family is sort of bored by deli sandwiches, even when using bakery bread, high-quality meats and cheeses, I highly recommend grabbing a jar of onions. They're only like 5 bucks. I personally can't stand raw onions on a sandwich, too overpowering, but love the depth these products add.

Sorry if I'm way late on this. It's possible this stuff has been popular for years.

-- good dijon mustard
-- tiny bit of Duke's mayo (with fresh cracked pepper on top)
-- boar's head onions in sauce -or- onion jam
-- sauteed spinach (spinach cooked down in a little water/olive oil)
-- warm pastrami
-- toasted rye bread from bakery

So good.

I haven’t seen this in the grocery store but I cannot trust having a full jar or bottle of this liquid gold.

+1 That’s why I have my jar. But I will try on sandwiches! Thanks OP!

Try spreading a thin layer of Vegemite or Marmite to your sandwich bread before layering on your other sandwich fixings. Provides a hit of umami and salt. Soooo good!

It is low-brow because it's all junk oil & corn syrup.

Mix siracha and mayo or Hoison and mayo on a ham sandwich. You can thank me later.

I always want to try jars of things like this and never know what to do with them. I don't eat a lot of sandwiches. But adding to salad dressing sounds great! I just made a veggie slaw, and this could work well in that too.

sacre bleu.. mais non. this is as terrible as cheese on kimchee. What are people doing to kimchee!?!!

Cheese and kimchi are delicious together. Kimchi ham fried rice with chunks of sharp cheddar melted in... oooooh.

I mean, it's just a spicy, garlicy pickle. Putting it on a sandwich really isn't that much of a stretch. I like anything strong-flavored added to a sandwich - pickled hot peppers, feta, blue cheese, tsatsiki...
