At the park she's totally fine. No neighborhood friends yet except the same little curly dog from next door.
The majority of dogs are not good with encounters on leash. They can't run away if a dog attacks so stop greeting other dogs on leash!

My dog has lots of dog friends that he is overjoyed to see at off-leash hours. It's funny to me how dogs have strong personalities and preferences, like humans. Some dogs he is utterly indifferent to, others he sees from 200 yards away and makes a beeline to them.

My dog is introverted and prefers people over other dogs but I’ve lived in my neighborhood almost 20 years and have owned my dog for over 10 and no one knows my name and I don’t know their names. I go by Doggo’s mom and all the other neighbors are Poodle’s mom (or dad), or Spot’s mom, etc. We greet each other’s dogs by name and chat but I can never remember the owners’ names.

Our dog is BFF with our neighbors’ dog. Sometimes their adult son comes to stay with his dog and our dog gets annoyed at having to share her buddy. It’s nice because we dogs it for each other.

Yep. My dog is buddies with a Great Pyrenees. I mean, he loves all dogs. But this dog? He *LOVES* him. If they spot one another across the street while out on walks, they will each stand there crying until the other owner and I find a place to cross to let them say hi. They’re hilarious.

My dog loves his neighbor friends, and especially loves his friends at the dog park. They see each other regularly. Once in a while, we have "playdates" at our house, because we have a fence.

You do know that other dogs are also untrained at dog parks, right? Why does pits get all the hate and all the blame?
