im British and knew what it was lol… it was created as a cheap fill you up type of food. It’s not very nutritious… it is tasty though.

Chinese food. I cooked up some egg after dinner and added it to the rice and that’s my kids dinner for tomorrow night ( with sitter) and my lunch for work tomorrow.

Slow roasted ribs, wild salmon roasted with a brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and sriracha marinade (the almost omnivore doesn’t like salmon and the pescatarian won’t eat ribs), green beans, and a riff on Melissa Clark’s roasted potatoes and turnip dish—included some purple daikon radishes too. We should get a few meals out of this.
