OP here. I capitalize because it’s easier to see among the other threads. I didn’t want to capitalize all the letters and it seem aggressive. This has nothing to do with being materialistic.

How big is the mortgage on 1.8m? That would make me extremely uncomfortable at 550K if it's over 1.5m mortgaged.

OP here. We can afford all of these expenses with the home she wants. I just believe in living more frugally and not spending a bunch of money.

Sounds like you should buy it. It’s not like she is a big spender in other areas, she’s probably saved you money over the years.
