I don't trust the color on the computer and see that people are voicing different opinions about what the colors you posted are, so I'll just say that medium toned, warm floors are most neutral. We have dark in half the house and medium in the rest of the house (not by choice). The dark ones do show dust more quickly, but they're not super dark, like espresso, so it's not too bad. The light ones hide everything better and are probably filthy right now even though they look fine. That could be good or bad depending. The lighter (medium) floors have been much easier to match with new modern-looking furniture, so if you're home leans toward modern or mid-century or something like that, then medium is better than dark I think. Either way, I think both are pretty neutral, and if you can't afford to re-do it often then just avoid trends (super light or super dark) and go with medium.

We just put in floors, and went back and forth so many times on color. In the end, I put in a warm, medium-light tone, similar I think to your photos, and we are really happy with it. It doesn't jump out at you when you walk in, but it looks nice and makes a nice base for everything else. I was worried it would be boring, but I'm glad we didn't go with something flashy because this is easy on the eyes and we like it more and more every day instead of getting sick of it.

Some people just can't admit when they're wrong. That's pretty much the same color as what was posted. Don't derail.

I like the light wood, if you have good quality floors that's the best option. Dark stains can hide a variety of flaws, that's one of the reasons it's used.
