I learned the hard way when I was a teacher that it's best to keep your head down and not say or do anything that might make the principal angry.

I know they behaved badly, but maybe have some compassion? Usually when people lose it like this there’s more going on than the situation at hand. I’m not defending what they did, obviously we should try to contain ourselves, just suggesting we all make mistakes and have really really bad days, months, years.
