My neighborhood in SS was densely populated, walkable, and stores were more accessible. However, crime was higher in the immediate area, particularly petty crime (e.g., car vandalism, package theft).
In Rockville, I have to drive everywhere, but the neighborhood is safer. I don't have young children, so schools are not a factor.
I sometimes miss the bustle of city life but enjoy the calm of the suburbs.
