This is a staple side dish in our house, so we have no problem blowing through endless packages. I cook them in chicken broth, lots of butter and parm with a splash of the cooking water. Salt/pepper/garlic powder. DELISH. This is my "I am alone for the night" go-to meal, even though it makes me feel 5 years old.

You could also do bastardized kasespaetzle: saute 1-2 onions until brown, toss with boiled noodles and 1-2 cups of the shredded cheese of your choice. Chopped bacon optional. Bake at 350 until warmed through.

Chopped meat with onions and mushrooms, and some cream sauce over noodles.

Easy chicken divan (chicken, cream of chicken soup mixed with mayo and lemon juice, broccoli, and cheddar cheese topped with crumbled chips). That latter, over noodles, is divine.
