You could post summer clothes by size on freecycle. People take these to Africa.

A Wider Circle does take clothes, but only if they are business wear. I could be wrong, but think this includes “business casual” and not just suits. They also take professional-looking accessories like shoes and handbags.

Good to know. Last time we were there, they said no clothes.

This is not true. They collect clothes for all ages. The only criteria is that they are gamely used. They have clientele of all ages who need good clothes.

1. It’s stealing. 2. It’s unlikely, but you could get arrested for trespassing. 3. If you’re going to throw something away, why would you carry it to someone else’s property instead of throwing it out with your own trash?

Don't dump your trash at an apartment you don't live at.

Anonymous wrote:Why does it matter, OP? There is a plethora of clothing in this country. Every homeless shelter and women's rescue group has all the clothes they want, and when they call for something specific, like women's workwear in large size, they get responses immediately.

I bring everything wearable to Goodwill, and recycle all the unwearable in the fabric recycling bins in front of the Y.

Because I just know that most “recycled” clothes are not actually recycled. If they are going to be thrown out, I can do that myself.

Not if you place them in the fabric recycling.

You do know that you are stealing from the complex. Don’t you have your own garbage pick-up?

They most certainly do. My husband and I both lost a lot of weight recently and they were thrilled to take our in good shape suits and casual clothes.
