I know this is an older post but replying now in case anyone searches for the emmy sectional:

We’ve owned this sectional for one year and think it’s appropriate to share our disappointing experience. We purchased this sectional from the DWR store in Denver, CO.

Important background: the sectional was delivered without notice when our house was under construction. We repeatedly instructed DWR to not deliver the sectional and it was delivered anyways with only the explanation that the account executive has been sick and unable to delay the delivery. This is important because we advise the account executive that we would not be able to open the boxes for over a month and therefore would not be able to inspect the sofa before the return window expired. The same account executive said she would not extend the return window even if we found any issues when we opened the box.
When we finally opened the box, we noticed that the upholstery (Crypton Robusta) seemed loose on the main seating cushions.
After one year of use (typically 2-3 hours per week by a 100-lb person), the upholstery has sagged and shifted across the cushion. Underlayers of fabric have folded under the primary upholstery. It is impossible to smooth out the wrinkles, which has caused a surprising amount of pilling.
The upholstery has a 5-year warranty so we contacted DWR for advice. The response, from the same account executive, was that the wear and tear we observed is “normal”.
DWR allows reviewers to upload only one image so I merged several photos into one image. I hope you can zoom in to see the concerning details.
The seam at the back of one cushion has shifted over two inches towards the front of the cushion. The seam at the back of the other cushion (that is rarely used) has not shifted at all. The wrinkles visible in the image are after I tried for several minutes to shake, fluff, smooth the upholstery. This is a good as it gets. The two macro photos of the upholstery show the pilling on the cushion that we use vs. the cushion that is rarely used.
The retail cost of this item was $13,945 but I see the price has increased to $15,795. I would expect much better quality at any reasonable price but certainly much better quality and customer service for the price that we paid.

I mean, I wouldn't buy a sofa that only has 2.5 stars on the retailer's website, but you do you, OP.

We are considering the DWR Emmy sofa and wondering if OP (or anyone else) purchased it recently. I've emailed customer service with a ton of questions about the manufacturer and construction of the sofa, but would love to hear from anyone with firsthand experience.

NP here. What is the benefit of knowing the manufacturer? Can you order directly from the manufacturer?

However I went to school with the three women who founded Egg and unfortunately found them unpleasant enough I'd never want to throw a cent their way.

Tracks, a very born on third base bio. But having money to launch and knowing how to sell to their own is probably the only requirements.

DWR staff should be able to tell you what company makes the sofa. I bought a Crate and Barrel sofa a few years back made for them by Bernhardt. The staff had the information in their electronic records...
