Can you leave it to a trust - your trust - and make her the beneficiary of the trust? I got a trust for about $2k. Stephen Moller in Old Town, lawyer, drew it up for me.

Glad you are still hanging in there and protecting your family.

Did someone mention the memory books you can make? Seems like something your daughter could want.

This. Sign it on her behalf. Tell her support network she needs support and is in denial

I’m very sorry, op. These issues are hard on all members of the family. I’ve been the college-aged child in this scenario, and understand being in denial when the truth seems too much to properly absorb and accept. Denial is part of the grief journey. Does she have a support person outside of your immediate family that she can talk to? Inova has a “Life with cancer” program that i believe includes support for caregivers. You don’t have to be treated at Inova to use it. https://www.lifewithcancer.org/

My heart goes out to you all.

Good OP!

I had a friend whose husband was terminal. He had a small policy whereby she found out his mother was the beneficiary. Which was long before he became ill...and probably forgot. They had 2 small kids so she simply signed his name and received the money after he died. She didn't want to stress him while he was ill. Sometimes people can't think in these situations.
