I make this at least once a month. The sauce is so good. And you don’t need anywhere near as much butter as the recipe calls for.

Just stick it under the broiler. Then I drizzle with ponzu. That’s how I ate it as a kid and my kids love it that way too.

Cover pan with lid and bring to a strong simmer. Let it boil for 5 min, then turn down to low for 35 min until a fork easily pierces the potatoes.

The potatoes get a nice crispy crust and the lemon brightens everyting

Cooking salmon for 35 minutes should be illegal! Ew.

Brush with homemade marinade made from chopped garlic, chopped ginger, olive oil, honey, a splash of soy sauce and one of rice vinegar, salt and pepper. I grill or bake it then serve with edamame, jasmine rice, and cucumber sesame seed salad.

Dijon and dill.

I prefer Sir Kensington Dijon, it's less potent, and I apply a very very thin layer, sprinkle with dill, then bake.

Cover skinless side with grainy French mustard and smoke on grill. Amazing.

We marinate in a soy garlic base for an hour or two, then grill on foil (no turning)
