There are such areas. They're called dog parks. People who bring their kids under 12 to dog parks, which generally have posted rules prohibiting that, aren't any better than the dog owner here.

Parents have to speak up and ask the dog owner to leash and remove their dogs from the playground. You have to speak up! And I totally agree with the poster who said to call and write the city and parks commissioners stating the dangers. Once the city is warned in writing, they will do something because they don’t want the liability.

After I complained, the parks put up “no dogs allowed” signs at the entrances to our playground. And yet people still do bring their dogs in but no one has ever not taken their dog out when I politely ask them to.

While bullying is wrong-do bullies tend to maul children? Is that a thing? DOGS can maul children.

I saw a boy knock a little girl out of his way so he could go down slide before her and she would have fallen three feet if another parent had not caught her and she was crying. Maybe they cannot maul but they can knock a child off a slide or knock them over. You must be one of the lazy mothers who lets their brats run wild.

Nope I also don't take dogs to playgrounds that prohibit dogs!

NP unless these kids are actually dogs in disguise you are talking about go start your own thread. Even well behaved dogs can be scary to kids because of their strength and size and one bite can rip off a child's face or hand or even kill them. I would not hesitate to tell the dog owners to take their dogs elsewhere.

This may be one of the stupidest questions I have ever read on DCUM.

Yeah I'm a dog person but there are playgrounds we avoid due to unleashed, uncontrolled dogs. Plenty of playgrounds without that problem though.
