I think Banana Republic and Ann Taylor Loft have 18s, but, again, I’m not sure what the stores will have. Of these, I’d probably start with Anthropologie.
I hope someone else chimes in with more suggestions. If not, I’d be happy to make some suggestions if you’re willing to go beyond Georgetown.
OP here. I welcome recommendations for stores that carry plus sizes in their stores (not just online). It feels like most stores just offer them online but not in the actual stores.
Do you follow Katie Sturino on social media? You should, she covers this type of stuff and is awesome and fashionable and inspirational

OP here. Which shopping locations do you recommend?
I would not head to Georgetown to shop for plus sizes. Tysons probably has the most variety of stores in the metro area.

Size 16-18 is usually where body shape and proportion start to differ significantly from straight sizes so that there needs to be a different cut. Size 12 and 14 are just a proportionally larger 10.
1X is a 14/16 that is cut in a plus size silhouette. That’s why 1X is different from XL.
Lane Bryant carries 14s and 16, but they’re W sizes like 14W and fit different from a Banana or J Crew 14.
Plus size is more about proportion and body shape than a number size.
