That is not what happened here. The Washington Post obtained evidence that a public official previously expressed views that make them unfit to hold their position. Having obtained that evidence, it was very much in the public interest to have this information aired. They handled that information responsibly as journalists. That the public official lost their job over it does not make it inappropriate.

+1. The person who posted it is, in herself, barely worth a discussion. We are discussing Miyares’ incredibly poor judgment in hiring her, probably as a political favor, without any vetting.

The more probably scenario is one of her FB friends or friend of friends screenshot her page and shared it with WaPo.

But your Facebook friends can. And so could hers. I don’t know if hers was public or not, but certainly some of the public could see her posts.
