You can do the Sneak Peak test at home around 8 weeks. I've never done it but a few friends have and their results were all accurate (granted 50-50 odds are a pretty good starting point).

More and more insurance plans are covering it for non-AMA or low-risk pregnancies. Mine was covered for a low-risk pregnancy but I had to go to a Labcorp office for the blood draw (all my other draws were done in-office) because my insurance had an agreement with Labcorp.

I got my NIPT covered at both 31 and 34 when I was with Kaiser (who is usually cheap!). No issues and a low risk pregnancy. I was told they do it for over 30 moms. I didn't find out the gender though by choice.

So to answer the question- 10 weeks plus another week for results.

I also had NIPT twice under 35. You dont have to be over 35 to get it. It just depends what insurance you have. It was covered for me both times. My doc had it scheduled for me at 10weeks 3 days.

I was pregnant at 34, but due at 35, with my youngest, and I found out earlier than with my older kids. I wasn’t expecting to find out earlier, so I was kind of surprised, but it turned out to be an insurance thing.
