Yeah, a copy (of someone else’s speech!) isn’t an official document, but the point is that Trump had been told enough times that he couldn’t rip things up because they have to be preserved, that he thought he was calling Pelosi out…while he continued to mishandle actual original documents.
It’s almost like every accusation is a projection.

I imagine most presidents aren’t making edits with tracked changes. If they write a comment or edit a document by hand, that becomes a record that must be preserved.
