I’m sorry, I really find that hard to believe. VT might have a lot of school spirit locally, but outside of this region it’s not very well known.

Honestly, I think Michigan is in a league of its own when it comes to school spirited alumni. Not that there are necessarily more than any other school, but they seem to be spread out everywhere. Even in these forums, Michigan is probably talked about more than other out of state/area public university. School spirit is more than just cheering on a sport team. There is a lot of pride (many would say arrogance) with the Michigan faithful that goes way beyond football.
