I assume PP is applying to Potomac for 9th and the public high school, Langley, is the back up.

Friends - good luck to you all. Just be warned about one thing: if you get an invite to a parent association meeting two weeks before the admission letters get sent out, that doesn’t mean you are in. It could mean that the school wants to waste an hour or more of your time with a bunch of parents talking about how absolutely wonderful the school is, and then not let you in.

6th grade

We heard from one DC school that they have 130 applications for 10-15 seats this year.

We applied for 4 schools and feel it is possible to get zero offer. If that happens, will try again for 7th grade.
