Seems like the fix was in for the NYG job - wonder if Belichick texted him on purpose, knowing it was a sham?
John Elway doesn't look too good, either.
Not sure how the league can claim there's no racism when only one coach is Black in a league where 70% of the players are Black.
What? One has nothing whatsoever to do with the other. Owners want winners. Players and coaches are two different things. Give me the name of a bankable black coach and I'm sure he'd have a great shot at getting hired. This isn't affirmative action like college or government employment.
DP. Why do you think there are no, in your apparent opinion, “bankable” black coaches in the NFL?

I didn't say that. If there are - I'm sure they're highly desired these days. Name one with a winning record who has been denied consideration.
Seriously? Just look at the allegations of Flores’ complaint. He had a successful career in a number of roles with the Patriots, but after that he gets only sgam interviews with the Giants and the Broncos to satisfy the Rooney rule and then gets hired by the Dolphins to be a patsy. Instead he puts together back-to-back winning seasons for the team for the first time since 2003, and is promptly fired for failure to perform to expectations.

Maybe not, but the NFL has to settle if you get to discovery or risk Ross having to sit down and discuss throwing games under oath
Yes, very embarrassing for him, and probably some severe repercussions with the league - but it's not racist and has no probative value whatsoever with regard to the lawsuit.

Troy Vincent explains it pretty well. There is a blatant double standard when it comes to hiring and retaining black coaches vs white coaches.

I think it’s a stretch to tie this to gambling. It’s pretty obvious Ross wanted this to secure a better draft position.

This lawsuit is LONG overdue. I’m so glad Bellichick stupidly exposed a scheme that has long been obvious to any thinking person. The determination not to hire or retain black head coaches absolutely is racist discrimination. The discrimination against black quarterbacks is the same and is only beginning to change in the past 20 years. The idea that black people can’t and shouldn’t run things is completely and wholly racist. Anyone trying to debate this is just tipping their hand and exposing themselves as a racist who supports racism.
