After being stopped the officer checked my documentation, when everything checked out he told me I could go but needed to slow down
I expected to be issued a citation (or worse!) on the spot but that did not happen.
Can I expect something in the mail?

No one is getting a verbal warning for 40 over. That means 65mph in a residential neighborhood, 75-85mph on a road like Rockville pike or Connecticut Ave, or 95-110mph on I-270.
You’re not getting away with a verbal warning for any of those scenarios.

My DH was pulled over on the empty Dulles toll road going 15 over and he had to show up in court and pay fines. I’m actually grateful to the cop because it finally got him to slow down since then.
