For real people, my 10-12 year old nieces love The Babysitters Club and The Worst Witch. My sons sometimes watch along and pretend they don't like those, but I'm pretty sure they do. Same with Full House and Fuller House.
No need to rush into adult programming.
My DS watches Babysitters Club, Big Shot, the new Doogie Howser. All have mostly female main characters. He wouldn’t turn them on himself but he enjoys them when my DD watches them. I am glad; it’s important for boys to not always see themselves at the center of stories.

I've spent half the pandemic binge watching with my now 13yo and his older brother. All time favorite show is The Middle. Also strong in the rotation were the Goldbergs (although it just got too unfunny over the years), Brooklyn 99, the Good Place, Kim's Convenience, Schitts Creek, Ted Lasso, Superstore. Lately he's been experimenting with Ghosts and the United States of Al, and American Housewife, which are all pretty bad.
Tried the West Wing, Parks & Rec, and the Office but they didn't work; may try them again. We also watched Veep for a while, because he's into politics, but I wish we hadn't because too much of the language was inappropriate for a kid that age.

Merlin on Netflix (British show) is really great.
Mine that are that age also really liked Star Trek next generation.
Lost in space is good but it has a slow start.
Series of unfortunate events is really fun.
Mandorian is really good and Loki was really good, although I know you said you’re sick of super heroes (me too).
I feel like good place and office and some of the others suggested skew a little older. And I found avatar really irritating. The teen boy character is just too much. My kid’s tell me he gets better around season 3 or 4 and I was like “I don’t have the stamina for that.”
