Wow agree that is bad. And at that price point, to cheap out on the photos is really inexcusable. Here's 5 pictures of the island. Here's a closeup of the sod so that you can see the lines. Here's several closeups of the stairs - just the stairs, no context of what you are looking at. Here's a toilet.

Terrible.

oh man, that's bad. the original house was small but really cute. yep, I'd 1000x rather live in that cute cape cod than this horror.

You didn’t exaggerate, OP! Well done.

+1. Would so much rather live in the original house.

Who is the builder?

This house looks like the outside of a metro station in Scandinavia. Or a bus depot. Truly awful.

I’ve hated on a lot of flipped houses, but finding a floor that looks like bad quartz really puts this one over the top.

I thought the pics were in black and white, but it’s really just a horribly designed house with too much gray and white.

Nobody is buying a $2M house with death trap stairs.

That lot could have been used for 6-8 units of housing for formerly homeless families. The county could have paid $2M for it.

Anonymous wrote:I was expecting this post to be a gross exaggeration, but no, it’s that bad. The biggest problem is the windows. They are out of scale (too small) which leads to zero curb appeal and a dark house. Like the whole house is dark. I get that it’s a busy street but the way to deal with this is through custom light filtering window treatments- not small windows. They likely just bought the standard size windows because they were cheap though, not to maintain any privacy. Also does the front door walk directly into the kitchen/living room combo which has that awful cold busy ceramic tile? That sets a bad tone for the whole house. I honestly think it would have been fine with modern windows of the appropriate scale, hardwood throughout (or certainly no ceramic tile on the main level), and a better kitchen layout.

^^^ for the record of this anonymous discussion, by “better kitchen layout” I mean a larger kitchen without eccentricities like that tiny sink or being shoved right next to the front door in a dark nook. And by “fine” I mean I think it would be passable with all the changes noted above, but not fine for any kind of discerning buyer. Also what’s up with the toilet paper holder in photo 81? Who could reach that?

Such a cute little house it used to be. What a monstrosity now.
