Don't you understand that decision makers are making choices based on the data? When Omicron hit and everyones' numbers went up, they found a way to try to control the spread in schools; now that the peak is passed, they are responding to the new data and the new situation and adjusting accordingly.

Honestly some of you act like the world is focused on just you and scheming how best to annoy you.

-1. The data has changed. Parents that were concerned about Covid have gotten their kids vaxed and would like to move on. Covid just isn’t as impactful as it used to be and we’d like the schools policies to reflect that. You don’t need to be from VA to understand that DC needs to update policies and move forward with life.

Wouldn’t it be great if they were only getting each other sick?

Haha.
+1

I was wondering the same thing.
All of a sudden the frequency of anti-masker, vaxxer and tester opinions increased on the forum, during omicron oddly.
Good call about someone creating their own echo chamber.

Hopefully all schools stop testing soon. Such a waste.

+1. It would be amazing if we could drop the anxiety around the weekly test and just go back to normalcy. Are schools considering this?

Oh my gosh I hope this is true!

Despite this, unfortunately, our Fairfax school has tightened restrictions.

What school?

Yes, let's phase it out. It's time. Keep kids home when sick, otherwise let's move forward.
