There’s definitely still a mask mandate in FCCPS and they’re sending home kids who aren’t wearing them. People here love masks. I assume most will wear even when/if they drop the mandate. Go maskless here at your own risk of being a social outcast.
No one LOVES masks. It's just that conservative people understand that they have a duty community and a sense of personal responsibility, so that they know that masks are prudent to protect others in certain situations, namely indoor environments when an extremely contagious and potentially deadly illness is surging. Freeloading, selfish phucks who hate America and all American values whine like sissies about face diapers and have tempter tantrums that they are being told what to do by the big bad gubmint.

Wow- you are a jerk! Yes, this is exactly the "tolerant" "welcoming" tone we get in Falls Church if you dare mention unmasking. This is why very few people will unmask on Feb 14 and the SB will end up changing the date. There is zero tolerance for a masking offramp. People like you make ME want to West Virginia!

Anonymous wrote:Does anyone know what schools in WV doesn't require kids to wear masks? I know Jefferson does but its varies by county, we might move there if the court doesn't rule in our favor.

On 14 Feb, students will be able to opt-out of mask wearing in FCCPS.
Yeah, but expect being ostracized, quietly shamed and the eye rolled...
Whatever. As long as the ball starts rolling, then I think people will slowly start to become less fearful.
I certainly hope so, but I've lived here long enough (and have enough School Board connections) to know that FCCPS is almost certain to move the goalposts as Feb 14 approaches.
This. They will put pressure on kids to wear masks or will change the policy by then. This will be the last district to unmask. Don’t let them fool you.
