Wow I didn’t realize people were eating so much soup. I never eat soup. I live in SoCal but used to live in Boston and didn’t eat soup then either. I do like veggie chili and split pea soup but I prefer the experience of eating/vs slurping/spooning. I never have smoothies/juices for the same reason.

I would eat it all day every day, but can't be bothered to make it every day. But we usually make two soups a week during the winter and make large batches for leftover lunches.

LOL I had the same thought. I’m from Russia and at least back when I was a kid (80s) having soup as a first course for lunch and dinner was a must.

Very infrequently, like once every month or even every few months. Never in the summer. I actually like soup but no one else in my family does, and I don’t want to make soup just for me. Back in the precovid days, when I was in the office and would get lunch out a few times a week, I would sometimes get soup, but now I’m WFH full time so it’s rare.

About once a week and get two dinners, plus adult lunches out of a pot. I save veggie scraps in the freezer to make homemade stock, so usually have fresh stock for the foundation of whatever I make.

Maybe once every two weeks in winter. Almost never when it’s hot.

I make at least once or twice a week and love the leftovers for breakfast and /or lunch.

Weekly. And once I make a pot we likely have it for two meals. Taco soup and chicken noodle soup with matzo balls are huge huge hits in my house with toddlers

Definitely more in the winter, and I'm trying to make it so that we always have soup or soup leftovers right now. It's so good, good reheated, and a great way to pile in the vegetables while spreading out meat, which we all should be doing.

I'm not a bread person, but you can add variety there too be serving sourdough, biscuits, breadsticks, croutons, a grilled cheese, etc.

Chili and ramen aren't soup.

Pho is though.
