NP, but it was top 5 for my DD along with Pitt, Oberlin, Purdue, and Grinnell. She chose Grinnell in 2020 but two of her classmates chose Case. Their top picks (they talked about this as friends of my DD) were Kenyon, URochester, Georgetown, and Syracuse for bio & anthropology and Bryn Mawr, Denison, Smith, and American for history & art history.

If you go to College Confidential on the Case Western EA thread, there are lots of posts on stats and merit received.

But the max merit they gave this year was 40500 and sticker price went up to 81K

I don’t know anything about Case Western, but my older is a hs junior and he and I are both innundated with CWRU daily emails plus he has gotten paper mailings from them, so I think their marketing dept is certainly active.

We've received more e-mails from Case Western and Wash Univ of St Louis than any other college. They are relentless, lol.

I went to CWRU back in the late 90s. It's a fine place. Very brainy and engineering focused.
Cleveland is cold and snowy. There is almost a daily snowfall in Jan which I liked (I love snow).
I'm not sure I'd send my kids there I was the one making the decision (I'm not). I'd like them to have a bit
more of a well-rounded experience. Case is like MIT/JHU/etc. Very STEM focused and kind of a hard fit if you're turned on by that.
