Curious, what will your org do to help "move the needle"?
I am genuinely curious. I just checked out your FB page

39% of registered voters (about 2 in 5) are not registered Democrat.
Despite this, 100% of our elected officials over the past 18+ years have been those selected in the Democratic Primary.
If you want to make your vote count, you must register as a Democrat before June 5!

The fact someone is 'unaffiliated' doesn't mean they are centrist.
The vast majority of MoCo residents support Democratic candidates. Why would they not want elected officials who reflect their ideological beliefs.
Huge difference between traditional Democrats and the progressives.
+1 There’s a spectrum within the Democratic Party. Not sure why that needs to be pointed out. Bernie had only 1/3 of the vote in 2016 and 1/6 in 2020. We shouldn’t be ruled by Bernie clones.
Those policies are driving some Ds to I.

Holding onto your political party is admirable, but it's not going to help MoCo swing to the center.
Just because it's easy doesn't mean I am willing to do it. I don't identfy as a Democract, so why would I pretend just to game the primary system?
Don’t be stubborn, my friend. The label means nothing, it doesn’t change who you are or what you believe in. But In our county it will/may make a huge difference in who runs our county. You will have a meaningful say in the primaries and you can vote for any party you want in the general election. I don’t see a downside to switching.

OP here. Thanks for the stats. That is very interesting.
I know that not all of those 61% not registered Dems are centrist, but IMO, we can make a dent and move the county at least a little to the center. I actually don't want a far right county. That's not my goal at all. I just want some moderate politicians in the county.
For those who are more to the right, having someone moderate is better than having someone who is far left.
I stated the same during the POTUS elections to progressives to back Biden because having a more moderate Dem is better than having someone far right.
If you are not going to move out of the county, and you are tired of the super left, then you need to make some concessions. Register as a D and vote in a moderate.

She was pretty bog standard Republican: anti-gay, etc.
