I hope but I was told they aren't sending out emails of reported cases anymore like they did before winter break/the first week back.

Our school has positives on the charts but we are not getting any calls or emails about it.

does it really matter when they release this data? MCPS leadership is cooking the books with this data anyways. the data is no good. previously, the numbers came from each school. now the numbers are reported to MCPS, who spins the numbers however they want. the school staffs were diligently tracking and contacting close contacts. now mcps wants to intake the info and gumming up the works.

I didn't think the information was ever going to be "released" surely it's for their own, internal metrics.

The form has a box to check for a negative test. Why would that make them think she’s positive?

Pp above again. Also 1 hs sends a daily report, but the other said that we should get numbers from the mcps report, which I find to be almost deliberately arduous. Do they not want us to know?

Are people reporting negative results? I have kids at 2 high schools. 1 asked for results either way, and the other asked for positive only. I think that's a mistake because you don't if non reporters are negative or just not reporting.

My guess is that CCES didn’t have any cases Friday, not that they didn’t report. The case rate has been fairly low overall this week and the rapids probably caught whatever cases there were earlier in the week.

Just wanted to circle back to confirm that CCES principal confirms there were zero cases Friday.

We were only told to test Monday. So we still
have the 2nd test.

I think the daily counts include the home tests reported online and that the heads of schools have access to them before we do. It makes sense for principals to be privy to such information so that they can go about their business of running schools. There's no reason for the central office to keep this info from them.

One thing I genuinely do not understand is whether the "daily counts" were including folks that reported home tests online, or just data directly from schools.

Our school explicitly told us that reporting a positive via the MCPS Google Form did not alert the school itself, which seems like a terrible plan.
