That he won still disgusts me to no end but the fear is also creeping in. I do not live in NOVA and down here, it's become more and more uncomfortable since 2016. I have always been very politically engaged and invested in the future of my community and our country but even I, a nobody, find myself speaking less and avoiding doing anything that might bring attention to myself. On one hand I feel guilty because now is the time for those who know better to stand up for what is right but I'm also middle aged, tired, and feel like the battle has already been lost.
I wish politics had never become entertainment.

I’m interested in the EO’s definition for CRT. People on this board and elsewhere had trouble articulating what was being taught that they disagreed with. They only agreed that it wasn’t the official definition of CRT, more of a feeling. Wonder how Youngkin’s team put that into words.
It was never being taught anyway. Completely useless piece of paper he signed there.
The EO will either use the official definition and be useless because it’s not taught, or it will define CRT to include other topics (maybe slavery?) that parents think make their children “feel bad”. We were repeatedly told on this board that it’s the latter.

The Governors definition is no more teaching about slavery or MLK anymore.
