I'd stay away from the pastel blues and minty greens. They can be adorable for babies but it gets tiring. I think they are timeless beach house colors but I don't really think they are great in a year round house - they look too themey.
I painted most of my house white but bedrooms are very pale grays or charcoal. Our playroom is more of a true blue.
I usually look at a paint deck in the grays and then see what undertones I want. You probably want a true gray or one that veers a little blue. I'd stay clear of green or purple undertones.
You really need to try a sample on the wall because it will look different in photos than it does on your walls.

I find Benjamin Moore stonington gray and gray cashmere very soothing. I would make the nursery as calming and relaxing for you!

BM Palladian Blue with navy blue, gray and white furniture/decor. Makes for a really peaceful, calm space!
