I couldn’t find the brands mentioned in the article but I got a bottle of dealcoholized cab from Ariel Vineyards. It was very fruity and jammy. I didn’t find it to be a great substitute for real wine.

Who drinks “tasty”’drinks _with_ dinner? Gross

You can't just drink water?

Ice water. I'm personally a big fan of Poland Spring. Trick is to use bottled water for your ice cubes, too. Delicious.

I always keep some shrubs and cordials on hand, you can add all the ingredients except the booze and still have a nice drink. I typically make them in small batches with whatever is seasonal. So right now in my fridge are grenadine syrup, Rosemary syrup, grapefruit cordial and cranberry shrub. All delicious as is with sparkling water, or I can mix them into more complex drinks with juices/ tonic water/ ginger beer et al. I just had a delicious highball drink with fresh squeezed blood orange juice, a bit of the rosemary syrup, orange bitters and topped with sparkling water.

Hop water

I love kombucha too, it has that zing and unpredictability of wine (as in, the flavors are all slightly different but none of them are cloyingly sweet.) It takes a while to get used to the acidity in a way that similar to the alcohol learning curve.

Fresca with crushed strawberries.

Freshly squeezed orange juice cut with ice cold water straight from the tap.

This tea is surprisingly delicious- its "full bodied" enough to feel like it take the place of a drink at night. I got it at Whole Foods.
