Awww - that is awesome. This week is principal’s week if you want to make an extra effort to give positive feedback.

I got a call to pick up my son early yesterday morning b/c he wasn't feeling well. Was able to get him a COVID test yesterday afternoon and got negative result overnight so I was able to send him today.

MS DD reported no change from normal at her school.

3rd grader reported no issues but did note they ate both snack and lunch outside, despite the cold.

I am noticing much less traffic at drop-off, which makes me think many kids are out, either voluntarily or involuntarily.

If you get a lanyard for the mask to hang around their neck at lunch, it's harder for them to put the mask on upside down. The lanyard keeps it facing the right direction.

My child struggled. His teacher was out due to Covid, and his behavior was terrible, I’m sorry to say. The school told me a lot of kids had a rough day transitioning back after 3 weeks being out. They expected that.

All of my kids’ teachers were in. Couple kids out but nothing out of the ordinary even for non-covid times. Indoor lunch for both the elementary and middle schooler, but the elementary kid had blacktop-only recess outside.

HS son said the covid testing he usually does during lunch was closed. One teacher out. Most noticeable class absence was PE. Other classes just had a couple kids out. I noticed less school traffic as I dropped him off this morning.

Not really happy about my twice vaxxed kid eating outside at this point, especially when kids are allowed to eat breakfasts in their classrooms. But, what can you do?

My first grader reported basically business as usual. His teachers were there. Two of his friends were out (though could be for any reason!). Lunch was outside. He was thrilled to be back.

Ashlawn - only one kid absent in my son’s class, lunch indoors so they could hear rules about outdoor lunch? My kid wouldn’t notice other kids’ masks.
