BUMPING this thread since its been awhile since the last post. What local agency has the largest inventory? There seems to be a ton of rentals in OC but not a central site to search.

Thank you! Gateway Grand looks like a very nice building but seems to lack the kid-amenities of Sea Watch/Quay/Capri? So far I think Sea Watch would be best for our needs if I can find a non VRBO unit for less than a week! Wish me luck!

Sea Watch does have really nice amenities but most units rent for a minimum of 7 days in the summer. Some of the Vacasa units rent for shorter stays but it is going to cost you almost as much as a full week elsewhere. Have you looked at hotels instead?

We really like having kitchens and washer/dryers. Turns out if I can FIND a unit not via vacasa, then a whole week is cheaper than 4 nights via vacasa - but, units still seem very hard to come by period!

That is ridiculous. Vacasa is charging insane amounts and it is mostly in fees that don't even go to the owner of the unit. It looks like your best bet for Sea Watch units are either something privately owned on VRBO (watch out because most of the listings are actually from Vacasa),

Actually stayed there in 2020 (first time in OC) - it was empty because of the pandemic so we loved it but knowing what we know now, that will be too crowded...

You can search for mini weeks, but most places rent for a week in the summer. Cbvacations has mini weeks as an option. Nevermind looks like they were bought by va asa. Try lfvacations.

Just avoid the Carousel! That place is a mess. It was one of the dirtiest places I've ever stayed and I can't believe we stayed for the whole time and didn't leave.
