So Plan C means the kids are at home or at school? Is there any plan to deal with a situation where a large number of kids are positive? Will they move a virtual for a time so the students do not get behind or are they only focused on the teachers?

Keep in mind, they have not tried this plan yet and have no idea how it will work. They have been CLOSED for three solid weeks. No in person, no virtual, no classes at all.

I'd take this 10 out of 10 times over what MCPS is doing. It's also more consistent with what other districts around the country are doing. As staff becomes available over time (and they will), it's a much smoother transition back to traditional classroom learning (to the extent Plan C popped up in the first place). I think it's pretty much a given that MCPS will keep rolling over 14-day virtual intervals until we hit spring (and even then, we'd have to be hopeful that they don't punt to Fall 2022). Unless they decide to abandon it because it's so stupid but that's a tougher walk back this time. In any event, it feels like FCPS is using a 2021 Playbook while MCPS is using a 2020 Playbook.

I wouldn't be so quick to praise fcps on their "plan". There are way too many things that can (and will) go wrong. They're not known for their common sense, reasonable expectations, effective leafership/Gatehouse personnel, and the like.
