BS. I know 20 people who were triple vaxxed and got covid and it was a cold.

My friends said they were wiped out for days

And a fully Vaccinated 14 year old dd of friend became really sick.

It may be like a cold for many but nonetheless local hospitals are overwhelmed so a sizable Minority are becoming sick. Also we do not yet know whether they will develop long haul COVID as did many people with Delta who had mild Symptoms initially.

Local hospitals are not overwhelmed. They are understaffed to begin with and people who test positive start thinking they’re dying and show up to the ER with no symptoms are very late symptoms clogging up the ERs if they’re even clogged for people who are actually really sick.

SR parent here. They require N95 or KN95 now that cases in the area have gone up significantly. They also set up a big tent on the field for outdoor eating, and lunch is provided in individually packaged bags (no buffet-style).

I think that's fine -- their goal is to keep school open and there's no question the new variant is highly contagious. As for the masks, many countries in Europe, including Germany and Belgium, have required this type of mask (known as FFP2 there) since last spring. Everyone wears them there. I even got turned away from the Lufthansa lounge in Munich airport because I had a blue surgical mask but not an FFP2 mask.
