Perhaps the parents who fake positive tests will balance those who really do have positive tests but don't report them.
And herein lies the rationalization of the hysterical parents insisting we lock down schools for "safety" even as they go about their shopping, eating out, and entertainment.

Don’t take this the wrong way but honestly, just shut up.
Is OP pro-virtual and advertising how to get the job done?
Brilliant point.

If kids are testing positive in sky-high percentages, they'd be too sick to attend any kind of school, in-person or virtual. And if there aren't enough staff, close them, period. None of this virtual nonsense.
This. Student absences shouldn't count. We are a super covid conservative family, and I shouldn't have to pay for the fact that your child decided to attend a NYE party. Only the staff positives should count for closing the school. The covid positive kids can figure out school for 14 days asynchronously.

No one would actually do that. If you think people would do that you've lost it
In another thread, somebody's high schooler said they're already talking about it. If a system can be gamed, it will be gamed. It's human nature going back to the beginning of time.
