Your lack of parenting isn't OPs problem. Go away.

+100

Only online communicating allowed is Facetime with close relatives - and never alone.

Please, please please monitor your childs online activity. So many predators are using childrens sites like discord and even roblox to prey on kids. Sextortion and whatnot is big right now.

Do not let your child become another statistic.

Your 13 year old should not be on discord talking to strangers. Do you parent at all?

Absolutely no communicating with strangers online. Start enforcing this now. The kid can talk with people he already knows in real life.

And you’re sitting with them all the time when they are online. Lol, ok.

Lol OT but my mom actually did this with me at this age. She'd even tell me what to type a lot of the time. The computer was password protected and it was a condition of getting to use it. I just wanted to connect with my friends so I went along with it for a while until I told my friends at school what was going on and they would type hi Mrs Larla.

Once that got shut down, she was allowed to belong to a safer, highly regulated community online (Star Stable), but that got boring, so now she's on another creative animal one, also moderated, but not as much, so she sits right by me on the couch and tells me whatever goes on there. So far it's very innocuous.

I repeat at least once a week that she mustn't give out any personal identification, and she knows what the list is. She has to report anything that makes her feel weird, anything anyone says that's inappropriate (there were plenty of those on Discord!). And since I'm literally reading the stuff over her shoulder, I can see we're fine so far.

She has never provided pronouns, but apparently this is a thing in MoCo - even some of her teachers provide pronouns. It's silly IMO, but not something that raises a red flag for me. It's not as if they could identify your child with that.

I have similar rules for my 11 year old. We talk about internet safety in some form or fashion every day and I listen to the chats periodically. She is not permitted to share her real name, location, show her face, etc. She basically is just playing Adopt Me or Minecraft. The kids really get into building stuff. She loves it.
