This article is based on a Wealth-X report. You can get the report yourself. In the report, they separate wealth from inheritance vs. entrepreneurship. If I recall correctly, UVA does very well in wealth from entrepreneurship.

They are the least pre-professional Ivies. Other than perhaps law school hopefuls at Yale.

Also it's not clear whether the list includes graduate students. If so, the business schools at Harvard, Wharton, Stanford and Columbia greatly boosts the numbers. Yale's business school is mediocre and Princeton does not even have one.

They are great models, but it's worth being said that both are loosing the things that got them there. Berkeley is no longer the odd, quirky artsy place that propogated a lot of the diversity and achievement that left there. They are having trouble hiring in certain depts b/c of an increase in monochromatic culture. If you knew somebody from the area was smart, accomplished in whatever field they ended up in ( but had an uncommon degree like Art-Anthropology) , a little quirky and was running for local office in the 70s-to-early 2000s, the stereotype is they Went to Berkeley. Now they pump out kids to silicon valley to contribute nothing to the country.

Data is not normalized which explains the inclusion of the publics and large privates (USC, NYU, Boston) in the list.

Also does this data only consider undergraduate or graduate as well?

If you have gone to these schools are are still not 1% wealthy, you should just go and slit your wrist. LOSERS!!

Something like this would be more meaningful and useful.

Study doesn't adjust for school size/total number of graduates.

If you read the article it states which schools have the most students with networth of ATLEAST 30 MILLION dollars. This is not indicative of schools with great return on investment but schools with people who start businesses and get lucky with those businesses.
