A bleu cheese burger is a must on all gourmet burger menus

Or we'll have burgers, and he'll top his with Russian dressing, and then also put it on his baked potato.
He just came home from the store with Thousand Island and ranch dressing and put the Thousand Island...wait for it...ON HIS PEPPERONI PIZZA.
I mentioned it to him as basically a: "Um, what's with this?" and he said he just prefers the taste of salad dressing to the taste of the food lately.

I...don't...know what to think. Is this a thing???!!

You married him, you tell us. Is this a thing?

Also, you married him so by now you should have already accepted this quirky behavior. I'm sure there's something you do that he finds distasteful.

Can you break this down and try to have the components around (actual blue cheese, sweet pickles, etc) to see if there’s another culinary approach to the flavor profile he’s after?

There's this Indian restaurant near our house that makes a delicious super crispy Gobi 65 (like hot wings, but with cauliflower instead of chicken) and I really really want to try dipping them in Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing. Thank you for reminding me with this thread.

I used to do this as a child/adolescent, but with A1 sauce. Not literally everything, but on a lot of things. It was a combination of 1) wanting a LOT of flavor and 2) low-income habits (putting sauces on everything to dress up crappy food).

Do either of those apply to him?

This is juvenile to be sure. I think it would also make me lose my appetite to watch, but what can you do? He likes what he likes. I would probably try my best to avoid watching him eat

My husband once dipped a peanut butter and jelly sandwich into ranch dip. I almost threw up at the table.
