I didn’t need a fancy setup (I delivered my second at GW lol) but honestly the two days off from toddler parenting and cooking and cleaning were great. If you have a good sleeper (and/or there’s a nursery available) by all means enjoy the vacation. 🤪

Sibley - rooms are huge and feels like a hotel, really. And I had my baby during the first winter Covid surge and still felt like it was a break bc we didn't so have to manage toddler at home, make any meals, do household stuff, etc.

As a mother of 4, I feel you.
Here’s what others don’t realize: luxury matters.
The women in the know do this:
-Pack luxury bed linens.
-Arrange a chef to drop off meals at the appointed time.
-Line up your florist ahead of time for an elegant arrangement.
-Contract with a reputable photographer, makeup artist, hairdresser, etc. for the hospital photos. Don’t forget to arrange for a “birthday” cake and champagne.
-I hope you’ve already consulted with a plastic surgeon to coordinate the tummy tuck with your scheduled c-section.

I'm currently a patient at GW and my OB makes it seem like it'd only be for medically necessary reasons to use the nursery; was that the case with you?

Even regular service at Inova Fairfax is goid. I found the food very edible.
