Chicco nextfit. I love ours. We have the “zip air” model.

My mom has the britax emblem in her car and I don’t like it very much.

We have Britax Boulevard Clicktights for both kids but also have a Cosco Scenera for traveling. The Britaxes are pretty quick to install if needed and they are nice and cushy. The Cosco Scenera is minimalist and I personally think best for quick or occasional rides, like how it would be used on a trip. We had a Chicco NextFit and I loved how cushy it was, we called it the baby throne. But sometime after 2 years of use it started being finicky-- straps not tightening well, difficult to tighten, etc.

But why? If your kid is in a toddler seat, they can sit up in a stroller. If you have an infant, just buy a seat that reclines and has a five point harness.

I'm assuming travel means not having your carseat installed in your private vehicle, which means lugging it around. Wouldn't it be easier to have wheels? Car seat + luggage + kid = too much

At that age, we checked our travel car seat bag (it's free) and used an umbrella stroller in the airport (you can check that at the gate).

You don't want to haul a convertible seat onto the airplane. Your kid won't be comfortable, and they will kick the hell out of the seat in front of them. If you're getting them their own seat, use a CARES harness.

They're supposed to be in a carseat anyway and you're depending on the airline to not lose your carseat.

I'm not sure why you're being so argumentative about this when I was just sharing my experience? It's very rare for someone to have convertible seat (which are pretty large) that clicks into a stroller or stroller frame. Most people do the above. You can also gate check your car seat if you want to lug it to the gate. Anyway, we travel a lot and it worked for us for many years - my kids are now both in boosters, we just stick them in our carry ons and....carry on!
