Just wanted to add DC was offered $9,500/year which makes it cheaper than any in state school since the OOS tuition is also very reasonable. This was just based on GPA, didn’t submit test scores. I suspect students with excellent test scores and even higher GPAs would be offered even more in merit aid.

Meanwhile I'd love if my kd could go to UMD for engineering but it's OOS for us and we likely can't afford it and heard they don't give good/much merit aid. Wish we were instate. Jealous.
